Womens Premiers field Youthful Team

Our Womens Premier team is already a young looking team this year but in their clash with Italo Stars on the weekend, with many players out, they brought in three Gr16 girls to help make up the numbers.

All three put in solid performances with Olivia Kerry and Emily Wiltshire holding out the Stars at the back and Mia Casagrande threatening up front many times and coming away with one goal.

The final score was 4-0 to Villa and was a sign of good things to come at Villa with lots of depth in womens and girls football and with our experienced players willing to mentor the young ones.

The photo below shows an attacking play by Villa. Well done girls!

Oceania Cup - Working Bee!

Preparations for the 2014 Oceania Cup are well under way with nearly 30 teams nominated and over 400 players expected.

To help with preparations we are holding a Working Bee this Saturday (27 Sep) at GW and CP. Please meet at CP at 8:30 and bring gloves and any cleaning equipment you think might be required. We need all the help we can get!

We have received lots of messages from teams of how excited they are about the weekend and looking forward to a fun and friendly weekend of football.

Womens Prems through to Grand Final!

A huge congratulations to our Women's Premier Team on a nail biting win against Bangalow last night - sending them straight to the Grand Final!

Scores were locked at 2 all after extra time resulting in a penalty shoot-out, which the girls won 5-3. An awesome achievement - well done!

Womens Prems Need YOUR Support TONIGHT!

On Friday Night our Womens Premier team won their qualifying final against Workers 1-0. This was a great result for our team.

They will now play Bangalow in a semi final - this Wednesday night 7:00PM at Bangalow - with the winner going through to the grand final.

The team has put out a call to all Villa supporters to try to get down to the game and cheer on our team! They would really appreciate some Villa support on the night.

Good luck girls!

Our Women's Prems in Action!

Our Women's Prems team, coached by Rob Sheehan, is having a challenging season but are rising to the occasion with some impressive wins in recent week.

Why not get down to some of their games to see some great football action and support your team!
