We are participating in the Food for Farmers Drought Appeal. Please bring items to GW & CP this week & next (11 & 18 Aug) .

Most of our state is in one of the worst droughts in 100 years. As such our club would like to support the North Coast Food for Farmers Drought Appeal.

The organisers have requested if children and their parents could please look in their cupboards and find a few items of non-perishable groceries that they could do without. Things that we take for granted are luxuries to farmers who have had no income for several seasons. They also need toiletries, laundry products and pet food.

Over the next two Saturdays, (11th & 18th August) they will have a ute at Geoff Watt oval (near the canteen) during all the junior games and we would love players to put the donations into it. Donations can also be made at CP canteen. Its so good for young people to know where their food comes from and how hard it is for the farmers when it doesnt rain.

There are also regular drop-off places in Alstonville at the Uniting Church Bargain Basement and at Century 21 in Main St.
