Emily Awarded Coach of the Month
Emily Wiltshire was this week awarded Newcastle Permanent Coach of the Month.
Emily coaches the Villa Gr14 Strikers and also plays in the Women's 4th's team. She has also organised her team to go to Tasmania at the end of the season to participate in a tournament in Launceston. The team is fundraising and working together to make the trip happen.
Congratulations to Emily for this well deserved award and thanks to Newcastle Permanent and Football Far North Coast for recognising dedicated volunteers who make a difference in our community.
Here is the article from the NNSWF website:
Emily has been coaching an all girls’ team for four years and is a wonderful role model for the young girls at the club. She commenced coaching as a teenager with great enthusiasm and commitment. She approaches the coaching in a professional manner but has lots of fun and is loved by her team players. Emily has strong support from team parents making her commitment easier.
The player returns each year are very strong in this group because they all love being part of this team irrespective of how they perform in the competition. Emily is also a young senior women’s player, supported by her family who are all loyal members of Alstonville FC. Emily is an excellent choice for Community Coach of the Month for June that aligns with Female Football Week.
