On Wednesday 28 Feb the Honourable Ben Franklin visited our Club and committed $600,000 for facilities upgrade.

Dear Villa Families,
For those that are not aware, on Wednesday 28 February the Honourable Ben Franklin visited our Club and committed $600,000 to Alstonville Football Club should the Government be re-elected.
Should the funding come to fruition the Club proposes to undertake the following works:
  • Replacement of the rotting timber deck at the Crawford Park clubhouse with suspended concrete slab. The timber balustrade will also be replaced with steel;
  • Complete refurbishment of the change rooms and toilet amenities at the Crawford Park clubhouse;
  • Replacement of existing field lighting with LED lighting for Crawford Park Fields 1 and 2 as well as Geoff Watt Field 3;
  • We will also continue to investigate further field lighting opportunities at the Geoff Watt Oval precinct in order to have more lit field space for training; and
  • We will also further our plans to extend the Crawford Park club house, which will include 2 additional change rooms, additional storage, new canteen and deck extensions including a seating area.
Thank you for your support in the run up to the 2019 season, which is just about to get underway! We wish you an enjoyable season.
